Mindbender I Thought Of

Right.......If you were born in 1980...and went back in time to lets say, 1970, from current date 2005..and stayed there. When it returns to common day... are you ten years older, or are you still the same age because your birthdate stays the same or what? Tricky huh.

P.s....the bit that gets me is....your birth date would remain the same so you'd be around before you were born, but that can't happen.....because you are already there......(faints whilst making WHOOP WHAAAPWHOOP noises)

ArtistInTheAmbulance 04-03-2005 01:09 PM

You'd be ten years older, because you've still aged ten years, but then.. Aw man I dunno..

OR maybe, the ageing effects went in reverse along with time, so therefore you wouldnt exist, making time travel impossible... Aww I thought I was onto something then. Damn..

ladyluckrules 04-03-2005 01:14 PM

wouldnt you just end up being the age you were in 2005 in 1970 and ageing from there?

KingJen 04-03-2005 02:09 PM

say you were born in 1980 that makes you... 24/25... and then you went back to 1970 you still be 24/25... so then you lived your life to the present day from 1970 that 35 years ago so you'd be 25+35.... uh... 60. yes. Not good at Math.

Sneer 04-03-2005 02:20 PM

ey...oh, im tired.

Trauma 04-03-2005 03:01 PM

I suppose if you weren't reversed back to before you were even a sperm cell you'd be like 60? Maybe? I think?

jibber 04-03-2005 03:18 PM

but for time travel like doctor who (ok not in a literal sense) they dont revert back to foetus' just because they go back in time, unless you wanted to say that

i think this makes the most sense, regardless of what you would consider your "birthday" your body would still age at the same rate. (unless you take your mom to the dance preventing your parents from falling in love making your existence non existint therefore causing you to disapear during a kick ass johnny b good performance)

hookers with machineguns 04-04-2005 02:54 PM

why would you get your panties in a knot over speculation about something that is impossible.

oh no, I was just saying, it shouldnt be a mindbender (as someone called it), after all time travel, as we know it, is impossible. i dont think there was an argument, I wasn't trying to start one either. :)

while your at it, i suppose aliens recruiting a star command fighter from a dump trailor park to save the universe is also impossible? have none of you seen "the last star fighter" ?

the greatest truths can be found in 80's sci-fi movies.

(feel free to quote that if ou find it uncompromisingly realistic)

ahh, but in order to be recruited, you must first beat the game! (which couldnt of been to easy since if my memory is correct, he was the only human to have done it)

I was talking about Fenix's post, the Johnny Be Good thing totally gave "Back to the Future" away.

I've got it! After a day of thinking, I realized the answer. Let's say you're two. You go back to 1992, you would be born in 1990.

KingJen 04-06-2005 01:45 AM

^yeah that makes sense... but the problem being there, that you'd be changing history. Which is weird...

5526492192 - 2454784 + 5487984 - 55264/ 222 =?

my sources say your sources are wrong.

unless im wrong, which may very well be the case, but i got: 5529525143.063

KingJen 04-06-2005 09:54 AM

Well it depends how you did the calculation, whether you divided 55264 by 222 first and then completing the calculation, or whether you did my method and just did it as it says.

Jen xx

Fenixpunk 04-06-2005 12:52 PM

correct, i did it as 5526492192 - 2454784
+ 5487984
- 55264/ 222

assuming that 55264/222 was a fraction and not dividing the total 5526492192 - 2454784 + 5487984 - 55264 by 222...heh..who knows... my brakes went out on my nova again today on the way to work, i need to find a way to get it home..looks like ill be spending a good 70 bucks on a new caliper since the one i lifted off my father-in-laws race car didnt hold up very long :banghead: damn car, wish me luck

Sneer 04-06-2005 12:57 PM
