In honor of comic con coming up pretty soon. I can't wait!

I just totally fell in love with Kaly Cuoco. And the bit at the end with Nathan Fillion was epic.

Nerdgasm to the pipes. Anticipation, did you see that Boba Fett helmet pipe I put on page 1?

Also - Kaley Cuoco ... that's the broad from Big Band Theory, Penny... yea? Never seen her out of character. I assumed she was as retarded as the character she plays. That's refeshing.

Yep, I've liked ever since I saw her on Charmed but I refuse to support that show because I really don't like it. I watched a few episodes and I'm like what? how did this even make it to air let alone survive for a few seasons.

I don't know what Charmed is, and I don't have a tv, but when I finally checked out the Big Bang Theory, my jaw dropped at how much I love the show. I thought it was going to be a ****ty sitcom. I've watched every episode three times since I discovered it... in March. Sheldon Cooper is my hero. He is an exaggerated version of myself, and much smarter. Leonard is a douchebag, Howard is fun to have around, and Raj is the token Indian.

This show is actually my Nerdgasm entry for the day. Sheldon Cooper gives me nerdgasms of joy. His antisocial personality, OCD mannerisms, etc. are great to watch. Honestly, the show could have been called the Sheldon Cooper show, and involved him, Raj, and Howard and I would have been happy. Leonard and Penny are so-so characters. I grew to like them, but I almost ditched the show because of them.

Sheldon is characterized as having an overtly intellectual personality: he exhibits a strict adherence to routine, a tenuous understanding of irony, sarcasm and humor, a vocal admiration for his superior intellect, and a general lack of humility or empathy. These characteristics provide the bulk of his character's humor and the center of some episodes.

If you're not in love with the Sheldon, you won't be in love with this show. I'd go gay for Sheldon. Unfortunately, he wouldn't care either way. I want a Sheldon Cooper.

He's the main reason I don't like the show, he makes nerds look bad. Like it's way over the top to the point of being unreal. I hate that show.

It's not like he's overacting. There's people out there like him.

Reviewers and fans have speculated that Sheldon's personality traits are consistent with a diagnosis of Asperger syndrome and/or obsessive–compulsive personality disorder.
Along with being a grown up child-genius. A lot of times those go hand in hand, though.

Is this what you take offense to?:
Quote:

Despite his intelligence, Sheldon is usually inept in most social interactions. His eccentricities, direct remarks, and demanding nature put him at odds with his own friends and especially Penny. He has a distinct lack of emotional maturity and is often baffled by even the most common social interactions. He not only fails to understand the simplest sarcastic jokes made by Leonard,[18] but also regards Penny's sadness over one of her breakups with blatant confusion.[25] However, recently, he has begun to understand the concept of sarcasm, attempting unsuccessfully to employ it himself towards Penny in the second season,[30] and successfully employing it towards his friends in the third season. Sheldon occasionally uses slang (in a very unnatural fashion), and follows jokes with his catchphrase "Bazinga!". He is not entirely sure how to hug someone, and avoids human contact whenever possible. Despite his egocentricism, Sheldon appears to be somewhat aware of his social ineptitude, particularly his lack of understanding of sarcasm.
Sheldon is who he is. He isn't trying to be a hipster geek. He likes what he likes. DJ, you say he 'makes nerds look bad'. I disagree. He is himself. In the process, he is thrown into the nerd category. That's just because he's balls smart and has no interest in social relationships, choosing instead comic books and learning. Are you saying he's too smart? Bah. Are you saying he's an *******? That's a given, but it's humorous to see how his nerdy friends react to his social ineptitude and how Penny reacts. There's lots to love here in just analyzing what makes Sheldon, Sheldon.

Basically my point is that there really isn't anything wrong with the character of Sheldon. Entirely believable characteristics, at most a stretch from truth.

All my nerdy friends loved Sheldon and Big Bang when I showed it to them too, but that's because we are all lone wolf nerds as well. I love watching Sheldon shut down almost accidentally get laid by showing off his limited ed. Green Lantern lantern at a party. When he got the girl back home, he was all .. g'night and she was like, "Can't I stay in your room tonight" and he's like "Sure... I'll sleep in the other room, G'night!" Bwahaha.

To me it comes off as overacting. I know there are some people a bit similar to what he attempts to pull off but he goes above and beyond for the sake of the show/laughs.

idk I'll never like that show.
