Default Óla!

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to the people I used to know on here and that still recognize my username! It's been an insanely long time since I last logged in and even more since I last posted but I do think of this place every now and then. I spent many a year roaming around and had many an interesting discussion.

I think what's fascinating is that there are many other members who have the same back and forth, even if your life takes you to strange places and you find news forms of communicating with other people regarding your favourite topics, you look back fondly on this corner of the internet and the people you connected with for a while.

I joined a little over 10 years ago for gods sake. That's a long ass time. A lot has changed since then. Now I live in Brazil. Who would have thought that was possible back in 2005.

Anyways, good to see this place continues to thrive and rejuvenate itself.

Ate logo!

Is Rio de Janeiro as really as exotic as we believe?

@Jans: Hello! I'm working! My company decided they needed someone here so now I'm here...

@US: That's an interesting question. I would say the nature is definitely as exotic if not more than I personally imagined. The city itself, architecturally, is a lot less exotic, depending on how you see exotic. Full of mostly socialist looking residential 60s 70s buildings, the old center is mostly overtaken by these monstrocities, but there are some vestiges of the old imperial Rio.
Copacabana for example, is something you see once and never return to. Huge and overpopulated, and frankly, a bit dirty.

For a holiday, I would say it would definitely be worth seeing, for living, not so much. Too expensive, too crowded, too dangerous.

Thanks a lot!
@vanilla, there's plenty of beautiful people here, yes, but I'm more into penises than vaginas...
