English Voters?

According to the powers that be, i have no valid opinion about my country's well-being for another 2 years...so it doesn't really apply to me but.....What party do you vote? If i could it would be conservative without a doubt

riseagainstrocks 04-24-2005 02:18 PM

I'm not english but i assume our conservatism is roughly the same. i however am more libertarian than anything...

blackTshirt 04-24-2005 02:39 PM

no english, no idea

Why Conservatives Tommyrocker? I'm curious.

Labour are becoming pretty Conservative these days as well, I'm leaning more towards the Lib Dems at the moment.

I find it odd that this thread has died such a death, especially seeing as so many of you are American, I know I take an interest in your presidential elections.

because IN MY OPINION they are the best party. followed by Lib Dems (very popular in my area) and labour i absolutely despise and always will do. Especially while Mr Blair is in the hot seat.

I figured out that part myself - I was looking for further discussion, which policies of theres do you support, do you think the Thatcher years were good times? That sort of thing.

Thatcher was the best post-war leader this country had (opinion)
Poll tax was miles better than the current situation
As for student overdrafts, Labour has seriously damaged University loans, the students now are facing depts around £10,000
The supporting of the rich act is heavily favoured by myself, letting businesses thrive, this creates jobs, i don't listen to the labour propaganda... so what if they support working class, thriving businesses means more jobs!!!!

incidentally.....as this is such a touchy subject, im saying
"opinion, opinion, opinion"

yes but a lot of the working class do not have sufficient qualifications or skills to access these job opportunities. the support in working class means more accesible jobs are made available to people with lower abilities- so we all get a fair crack of the whip. it has been stated that labour are stronger in education, public services, crime and pension schemes. you may well say "id like to see the stats", the same could be said for your facts.

You should have watched the question time debate, absolutely brilliant, Blair had no think tank telling him what to say....s-w-e-a-t. You would have found my stats about student top-up fees (depts) accurate. Whatever feel free to vote for labour, in my opinion they are equal to the monster raving looney party. (My brother may vote green)

If labour are so good with pensions why did they impose a tax on pensions and wipe billions off hard working peoples pensions? They stole most of the tories policies cos the ones they had would never get them elected. Basically all politicians are ****s who are out for their own gain. The labour party promised so much for working people but failed to deliver. We pay more tax now than a tory goverenment but see no return on it.
