Maybe because I understand the culture that guy came from, but I never thought anything he said was that inflammatory.

So he got into a spat with Vanilla. We can all be bitches at one time or another. No reason to hold a grudge over it. This "holier-than-thou" kind of mentality (some of) the mods have adhered to kind of pisses me off. I'm not going to name names, but I know who the stuck-ups are.

I'm kind of incensed at all the different enigmatic personalities that got banned over the years. boo boo, CAPTAIN CAVEMAN, Flower Child (dear god how did that happen!) were all immense contributors in their own lens.

It just seems like MB is migrating further and further away from the tolerant and respectful place that I cherished once. Hopefully that might change.

Does anyone have a quick run down of why he got banned? I know he was kind of edgy, but was there anything he did in particular? He was actually one of my favourite members on MB.

It's kind of ironic that you're defending boo boo, since he was the major player in CAPTAIN CAVEMAN's ban if I remember correctly.

And Flower Child requested to banned herself so you can put the angst away on that one.

I disagree.

I do agree with this. Sometimes I feel the moderation is too strict here, which has largely sterilized the contributing population so that only boring ass people like me are left.

I also feel that MB has too many mods to work as a cohesive unit. There are people like SATCHMO who float in and out but never regularly post any more, and there are other people who I just don't think have a good grip on how the internet and forums work in general and shouldn't be mods. MB's team, while consisting of some very awesome and hard-working members, is also too bloated, and I really do think only very active mods should retain their status.

I've taken it upon myself as a personal mission to channel Ethan as much as I can since he left. If that involves pissing a bunch of people off here, I'm glad to be of service.

Fuck the hive.

Oh, how I miss CC. His banning was one of the worst. He's still here though, but posting under a different name (Ethan told me, but couldn't remember what his new username was). He must have changed his style of posting as well.

I liked CC a lot too. It really is a shame boo boo got him banned.

I miss Dirty. He's a complete lunatic but he seemed like a good guy to me who was in the end, making life the hardest on himself. I dunno, I somehow had a weak spot for the idiot.
And I still think it sucks that I never got to know Boo Boo .
The fact that people still talk about him after more than a year tell me he shouldn't be banned. He may be hard to maintain, but he sure as hell is interesting
