"Make My Day" Request Thread.

So your day is not going too well? What would make your day?

Request something from your fellow MB users. It could be a work of art, a funny video, a song, a book, wise words, a website link, a PM, advice or even a recipe!

Think about how your day has been and what would "make your day".

Don't abuse just use.

This has died on it's arse it seems so I will forge ahead.

I am looking for online game sites like Miniclip that have simple but addictive games to pass the time away. No emulators though!

Freebase Dali 02-25-2012 06:28 PM

addictinggames.com
Shockwave.com

Those two should keep you busy for a while. :)
Me, I'm looking for a place where I can stream all of Beethoven's works, and not just particular movements or clips.

Kongregate: Play free games online

Play Free Games Online at Armor Games

Those are both all right as well.

This is a great idea, by the way, jackhammer.

I'm lonely, filled with regret and bad memories, clicking through the same websites at 2am on a Sunday morning. I want to blow my brains out.

Someone make my day.

Welcome to an average day in my life.

I'd recommend listening to an album, a really sad one, one that you can get a lot out of in terms of relateability. It helps me feel better, if you need a few suggestions I could throw some your way, but they're more my tastes than yours.

Trust me though, it's like my worries, anger, and sadness leave my body. Sort of like an exorcism, you know? It really, really feels horrible to be in that state, and I've made really stupid decisions and said really stupid things when I'm like that.

Mellow Gold by Beck does that for me.

CanwllCorfe 02-26-2012 10:59 AM

I have a whole genre for that! We all know what it is by now.

Try reading a book out loud. I find it drives out all of your thoughts and helps you stay neutral. I find the fact that you are saying the words helps prevent you from thinking too much about things that are bothering you.

You can also put a lot of thought into reading it in a funny voice.

haha I do that naturally when I read comic books! I even do the girl voices without even thinking about it. The faces I get when I read at the library is priceless.

I always feel like I understand a poem better when I read it aloud. It's also a lot of fun to do a crochety old man voice, especially with T.S. Elliot's works or Robert Frost's.

I know role play is like the greatest thing :D

Whenever I have to read anything out loud, I pretend I'm like a 17th century Knight reading the manifesto of traitors to the Kingdom. :hphones:

If anyone wants to make my day, help me find a hot girl to get laid.

When I'm reading comic books, I always read the villain's dialogue in Heath Ledger's Joker's voice.
