I feel your pain, for the longest of time I was convinced I don't have a weird slavic accent, then I recorded myself talking to colleagues and understood I sounded like I'm from the Czech republic. Took me a while to recover. Although I also figure working for 10+ years around people whose English is heavily accented hasn't done me any favours, particularly because I have this weird habit of matching my interlocutor's pronunciation (otherwise I feel like a pretentious dick :/ ).

Mariemarie sounds vaguely Norwegian/scandi to me.

Just played through these - everyone has great voices. Marie, you have a lovely tone - so soothing, and I don't hear the faintest lisp. I agree that rostasi is incredible on Finnegans and should do audiobooks. Bat and grindy have commanding voices - whoa!

MB is the land of sexy voices, who knew. (except for mine)

This will be super riveting to you all I'm sure (I was extremely sleepy when recording so I couldn't be bothered to find/remember a Buffy monologue plus my favorite one-- Anya's in The Body-- seemed a bit too depressing).. just reading off my medication's symptoms:

(I tried to do another more theatrical take but the sound quality was even worse in that one, so.)

It's always difficult to not unconsciously slip into my customer service voice. (Try scolding an irate customer when you sound like a mouse over the phone. -__-)

Ooh I actually was thinking about doing the monologue from the dream version of Death of a Salesman in the Restless episode!
You have a lovely voice, it sounds very familiar somehow but I can't remember whom you sound like. And the reading is perfect, it has a deadpan quality which would be spoilt if it was more theatrical.
