Default music collection, sell online or not?

I've a large collection of CD's and records I've been wanting to sell, thought I'd try to do it online instead of unloading it at music stores. Thinking I'd get more cash if selling stuff individually. Does anyone have experience selling music online? Is it worth the trouble to sell it piece by piece or should I look into local stores or possibly trying to sell the entire collection in one shot?

You'll definitely make more money doing it online through places like eBay, Half.com, and Amazon.com. CD's are pretty easy to pack, and you can actually buy small boxes designed for them at a pretty low rate. You'll also definitely want to invest in getting labels and printing it off at home, saves you a small amount of money, but A LOT of time at the post office.

Is that still available for CDs? I thought they only did DVDs.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I'm thinking amazon is the way to go with CD's too. But then I got about 30 crates of records to sell. I deleted my ebay account about a year ago after getting ripped off, I'll probably open another to unload all the common records. I was looking at discogs.com and gemm.com to list anything selling at over $50. Not sure how successful I'd be at discogs, I didn't even know that you could sell on there until about a week ago, I'd imagine most people don't know that yet. I'm stuck when it comes to trying something new or going with what I'm familiar with, guess it wouldn't hurt to try both though.
