Do You Have any Unique/Unusual Characters That Inhabit Your Dreams?

I've got a bunch of people that live in my dreams. In my dream last night, there was a recurring character who lives in a large converted house/train station that is partially abandoned/run down and part museum (about a foot from the tracks). He looks like a Twilight reject (vampire with the white skin, shock yellow short hair) and wears a flowing red robe. He has this old arcade game (not electronic) that he can use to predict the future (it's kind of like a Ouija board but looks like a pinball machine). He's very mystical and experiments with the occult but he's a "good" guy. He's unemployed and drinks a lot of beer too (from the can). For some reason I always go to him for advice about a particular situation (whatever it is that time) and he helps me. He has some people that are also unemployed that live with him/hang onto him, but they're more like regular people/thugs/muscle to him.

Funny thing is, he only shows up when this girl I used to go to school with in elementary school appears in my dreams and I'm hanging out with her. (and we're always at his house when he's present) Always a railroad theme during his dreams, whether we're exploring the tracks or actually riding trains.

Any interesting people you'd care to share that only come out at night?

I had a weird dream of some female singers.

I had a dream of some female singers together like Joss Stone, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Duffy, and Adele performing some songs together and they all sort of brought their singing and they were all passionate. Their voices were very raunchy and they all sang so strong together. I was so happy seeing their voices together and see them perform together.

I forgot that I was totally dreaming.

My ex-wife STILL haunts me in my sleep. I don't think I've had a single dream without her in it in like 5 years.

I really love reading about peoples' dreams. So inspiring and unique.... and borderline surreal. That scenario would be a good premise for a novel or a video game. Cool stuff.

Usually it's people I used to know that make appearances in my dreams, like a friend of mine who moved away when I was 6, or a cousin I haven't seen in years.

Sometimes, in my more "serious" dreams, there's this one girl with pale skin, grey eyes, dusty blonde hair and dark red lips in a shabby Victorian dress. She likes to peek around corners or hide in the shadows whenever I'm walking in a forest or along a cliff-side. She looks and acts kind of like a ghost, but she seems to be a symbol of reassurance. Whenever she's around, nobody gets hurt or killed, and I always make it to the place I want to go. But whenever I try to go near her or thank her, she hides or runs away; and then something tragic happens. For the last little while she's been around, I always seem to remember not to try approaching her, which saddens me a bit, but always puts me at peace.

I don't have any reoccurring characters, but almost all of my dreams involve a large house or mansion of some kind, then a disaster of sorts happens (always varies), and then usually zombies are involved in some way, both traditional and downright weird (such as the shapeshifting intelligent zombies).

This group of creatures/humanoids from "beyond the place it folds" that are, in my dream world, called "The Wonderful Strange Ones," or, occasionally, "The Wrong Ones."

They're actually quite distressing, and don't seem to be related in any way aside from being from "beyond the place it folds," which I gather means another dimension folding into ours.

They've been particularly distressing lately, because they feature heavily in my dreams which have, of late, been predominately lucid. The unfortunate thing about these lucid dreams is that I'm not able to wake up. I focus really, really hard and try to wake up, try to change the scenery, but they keep leaking back through. It's one of the few times I've ever felt really threatened in a dream...and I know I'm dreaming is the worst part.

My least favorite is The Giant. He's always walking down streets or in the shadows where you can only see his outline. He always appears to be dragging something, too. I think it's supposed to be a rucksack, but it freaks me right out.

The Entelodont Man. Everytime I see him it means the dream is about to shift into a fevered nightmare.

Also the rat god. Even when Coverdale shows up on a giant moth, it can't stop the murinaen dragon from eating its tail.

Ha! You should see my railroad dreams sometime (figuratively speaking). They're always very futuristic and border on steampunk but without the 19th century timeframe...but the vibe is still there. They're always really exciting and interesting.

I actually used to have a recurring dream for YEARS...ever since I was a little kid (like 3) through like I swear...age 15. Basically, here's the set up:

I'm in a crowd of people and the setting is basically just a void...a brown, sepia tone void...and tons of people, like at a beach. Then there's a changing tent for a beach.

http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thin...l&tid=11328843

Anyway, so the void is there and there's like fog and stuff...and everyone is milling around. My dad is always there in the crowd. Then somehow this girl comes along (older than me, with long brown hair, about down to her middle back) and takes me to the top of the tent so we can sit there and look down at everyone milling around in the void. (at this point everyone is really really small compared to us/where we are)

That's basically it. She's just up there with me, kind of protecting me or watching over me or babysitting me...whatever.

I actually had the chance to ask a guy who runs a dream school around here (yeah, they have those) what it meant. He informed me it was my spirit guide and that all kids have them until a certain age. Apparently my spirit guide was helping me rise above the crowd and develop my own personality without being pushed into conformity (or something along those lines). Then he told me if I simply asked, my spirit guide would appear if I wanted it to (which is what I've read online). It never really did, but I assume by the time I asked about it I was too old anyway.

So that's THAT dream. Hope it entertained. Still unsure what it means, but the spirit guide explanation seems to make sense to a degree.
