Well if you think it's something we could figure out without the clue, you could drop it later. Or if it's pretty essential add it now.

I'm stumped though, I'll admit.

Nope, not essential. I could PM you the added bit if you're stumped and wanted to keep it open for other people. You definitely don't need it to answer the riddle though.

Yeah what the hell, PM me. Sounds like it won't help much anyway :yeah:

Jansz, can you PM me the answer to your riddle? I can't figure it out and I need my sleep at my age! :)

Sure thing.

OK, got it thanks. I'd never gave guessed that.
Thanks for putting me out of my misery. Now I can get on with what remains of my life!

I think I'm the only one bothering to try to figure this out.

Jansz if you want to just go ahead and tell me the answer or give me a hint or something that'll be cool. I haven't had much time to think about it cause of this week being exams week, but I'm no closer to figuring it out than when you first posted it.

Is it because he comes home late from work, and he doesn't want to wake his wife up, and the elevator is too loud?

Sure. A man lives in a five story apartment building. Every morning he gets on the elevator, hits the button for the first floor, and heads off to work. Every evening he returns, pushes the button for the third floor, takes the elevator up, then walks the remaining two flights of stairs up to his apartment. Why does he do this?

Should I PM you my answer, or answer in the thread? I'm 99.9% sure I've figured it out.

EDIT: Wait; maybe not.
