Luckyme 01-22-2013 05:26 PM

Alas Goodbye

Somewhat puzzled Lucky stares at her screen after discovering her thread has been locked for unexplained reasons. "Do musicians have no need for new words? Aren't songs sparked by new ideas?" Smiling Lucky eats her crisps and decides to move along to another forum. "Any who liked reading her words will have no trouble finding and following her."

duga 01-22-2013 05:33 PM

Also puzzled, duga reviews Luckyme's posts and decides that talking in the third person is just as weird on a forum as it is in real life. "Later," duga replies.

Exo 01-22-2013 05:33 PM

Good riddance...

...is a bad Green Day song.

Rjinn 01-22-2013 05:49 PM

What is your reason for speaking in 3rd person? Your storytelling responses seem to express some out of body being than just speaking firmly for yourself. It was mildly amusing I guess, but hard to converse with.

Anyway bye then.

Face 01-22-2013 06:15 PM

You read the post of the username you don't recognise. You notice it says 0 posts next to their name, so you go ahead and reply in the only perspective not yet used in the thread relating the typist of the same post (is this case, that would be you, Face). You wonder if it's correct, or even worth it, but you've done it now so you might as well click post.

Burning Down 01-22-2013 08:47 PM

Weirdest membership ever. I wonder if fleamailman left too?

It's kinda like the Seinfeld episode, "The Jimmy."

1 down, 1 to go.

"It's a tragedy," said the astronaut, wiping tears from his eyes. "But what is tragedy really? Tears in the rain? Dog poop in brownies? Blips from random third-person talking jackasses on some server somewhere? In the end, only the demi-gods of literary affectation will ever really know."

fleamailman 01-23-2013 03:02 AM

(in fact, the goblin thanked the humans for their somewhat undue concern about him and his welfare upon their forum reassuring them that he was quite comfortable at this point upon their designated spam thread in this section now, saying "...nah, to be honest with you, it just gets a bit boring to write in first person each time where most fiction is actually done in third person with narration, I mean I'm not here to make enemies of you now, where admittedly I wasn't too impressed by your posts either, so if you'll just excuse me I guess I'll just wander back to the spam thread at this point as we don't want to keep our readers waiting do we, so see you there then...")

(the goblin thanked the astronaut, offered him a hanky then, and even sympathised deeply too, saying "...look, please do not cry now, I mean your posts will get better if you practice more at them, promise, where luckyme has moved on to elsewhere now, but not to worry as you can keep me company instead, as I feel so at home amongst you humans now, where I would rather be with you here than the nicest people in all the world...")

("...well no, because no one was ever here to begin with..." replied the goblin, adding "...I mean all that was ever here were just mere words upon you screen...", and with that the goblin felt that now would be a good time to take a short poetry break from all this serious posting, saying "...this one is an adaptation in the face of global warming...")

O Banana!
Home grown on native land!
New hybrid strains at your command.
With glowing hearts we see them rise,
Our new stock, strong and pest-free!
From far and wide,
O Banana, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
For bananas a plenty.

Bloozcrooz, maybe you should take him for a long ride in your pick up truck with some of your fake cowboy friends and drop him off somewhere in the middle of Vegas.^^

Sometimes I think "you know, being a Mod wouldn't be so bad" and then I realize I'd have to know who these people are.

Hadn't seen one post. Joined Jan 13 with 0 posts, meaning they were all Lounge. You weren't here as long as you thought you were. Mentally detached crybabies aren't welcome. Take a ****ing walk to whatever ****-bag, unmoderated forum will accept/tolerate you.

("...I think I'll just dance with vanilla instead this morning..." went the goblin thinking that the posts were getting better and would probably get better still, adding "...nah, I'm friendly, where none of my posts show malice either, and yet there is a part of me that refuses to write as expected to now, for I am not someone else's met expectations here, for that compromising person is actually dead to themselves in my view, ah no, first I'll write how I like here and then I'll listen to what you might have to say, would that be wrong I wonder...", whereupon the goblin just posted another thing he had written for safekeeping here, saying "...I'll be on the spam thread then, simply I need to edit stuff and that thread gives me both a sense of audience and a feeling of deadline...")

repost from elsewhere, new, the "amarica is doomed" thread

"...head or tails goblin..." goes the voice of anton chigurh, yet just like in the film the goblin also knows that the election results and the flipping of the coin have no meaning, simply the crime will be committed either way then, that the 1% had hand picked their man in both political parties, where "pro whatever" was a trick to show some superficial difference between the parties, just icing again, and where the real game or cake was icy-dicey, an acronym for ICDC as in inflationary caused devaluation of currency, and once one understands their game, once one sees that their "pro whatever" politics, like that heads or tails then, is quite secondary to their subtle agenda that is advancing in the background, that their collusion between the fed and the banks at the expense of the economic system everyone and everything else too, just becomes so apparent, no the only question needed to be asked here is why is benake so hell bent on devaluing the currency by injecting 40billion new dollars into the system each month for "as long as it takes" in his words, but takes for what end now, and yes we know that both political parties are pushing for this at the behest of the fed too, so yes they're short selling america as we speak, where probably the 1% is betting against themselves to cash in on the downturn of the economy while voters vote for mere icing in red or blue colours...", "...heads or tails, call it goblin, is it obama or roney then..." went the voice of on ourdearmedia each time, yet the plot had been planned out long before that choice had ever been offered

ThePhanastasio 01-23-2013 11:44 PM

ThePhanastasio refreshed her screen. Alas Goodbye she read. The username, she did not recollect, so she felt she had been too long gone from the forums.

Beside the name was zero posts. "Zero posts?!" she remarked to nobody in particular, "Then who the **** cares?"

Thus, Luckyme was completely omitted from her mind, never having had so much as a minor interaction to speak of.

fleamailman 01-24-2013 02:43 AM

("...nah, she has already forgotten this place..." replied the goblin aware that it was merely a landing here, in that livewriters do that sort of thing from time to time, explaining "...just forum/venue, thread/stage and persona/act then, where some places work out and where others don't, but the truth of it is that if one doesn't try one's luck somewhere new each time, then one won't know how one's writings stand up to a fresh audience, moreover one won't find others with writing talent to converse with either as livewriters welcome rapport...", in fact, there were quite a few livewriters out there by now, "...nah, don't listen to the goblin..." warned those voices in the back of the mind again, yet their utterances were met by a cunning smile by the goblin who merely replied "...ah now, don't you want to write, and to know who you are by what you post too, so don't compromise then, just go for it instead...")

repost from elsewhere

then suddenly in an expected moment the goblin simply turned to the captain and asked "...say what, can I marry you...", "...well you already did that goblin..." she replied breaking into a smile at the absurdity of it, whereupon the goblin added "...oh, I did, really, gosh and how wise of me too...", and with that it just became another something between them, something that the goblin never quite forget nor mentioned again either knowing that would lose its value if he ever did, and yet, upon reaching journey's end he felt he might just risk asking it one last time, hoping that she would smile as she once had, yes that would be something
