Trust me, i just have a F*cked up sense of humor but im not a bad guy

i thought the emergency trap was pretty clever, my mother never gave me a code i coulda been kidnapped!

But hypothetically, if i WERE to kidnap a kid i would use the emergency trap

"Hey! you're mom is the hospital we gotta get there quick!"

After we pass the hospital the poor kid will probably realise "My mom is not in the hospital is she?"

and i would say "Don't trust strangers" and kick him out the car..

I hate to be the cranky old man here, but this thread on its own is sick and ****ed up.

Couple that with the "its just for laughs" portion and we start to flag the site for the crew at the FBI that watches NAMBLA.

I'd ask the Mods to lock this thing up - delete it rather. I'm all for a good time, but this is in no way alright to post on this site.

I disagree, it's the internet and it's clearly not to be taken literally. This forum has it's own way of doing things which I don't want to stop, but I'm a member of a football forum where this thread would genuinely not bat an eyelid. It's a joke, whether you think it's funny or not is up to you, but I disagree with it being sick and fucked up.

Posting about kidnapping a child as a joke and actually kidnapping one are two very different things.

And murder is fucked up yet we've all laughed at murder jokes. There was a Maddie joke posted in the joke thread all but two or three days ago, which I thought was quite funny.

Comedy should have no barriers. If you start putting imaginary lines everywhere whereby anything past it is unacceptable and anything under it is acceptable and therefore fine to joke about, you create a 'scale of offense', and that is inconsistent. Who decides when the line has been crossed?

Either everything is acceptable or nothing is, and nobody wants to live in a world where we can't joke about anything, therefore I think 'everything is acceptable' wins, (or should do anyway, so long as the jokes are contextual, and I'd say this is.)

For what it's worth, I don't think it's one of the better threads on the forum, but I have no problem with it myself.

Agreed. Most of our favorite comedians have poked at something we find personally offensive. You can't appease everyone. Censorship blah blah blah...

you would think by now ppl would have a sense of detachment to such horrible things cause there in lays the humour

it's to laugh at what you shouldn't laugh, to play with ppl's sense of morality and your own
