Its been pretty disgusting to watch progress. Apparently one of the boys tried to sway the father by calling him and saying they didn't do anything. Videos don't lie, go to juvenile hall and learn your lesson children. This is a pretty sad statement on children in general when they can even conceive she was anything but an innocent victim of sexual assault.

I knew people are stupid and horrible. This ruined nothing.

Burning Down 03-20-2013 03:44 PM

Honestly, none of that surprised me at all. There are so many people who are just heartless.

Our legal system does favor females very strongly. One of my good friends was arrested and sent to jail for hitting his girlfriend who had called the cops on him and it was his word against hers. She then later said she was just making it up and nothing happened, but once you make the original claim it is in the states hands and the person will be charged. This kind of **** happens all the time, involving cases like this and rapes. Not to say the vast majority are legitimate claims and the purp should be punished severely, but it is absurd how bias the US court system is towards women.

Some of those tweets are actually appalling.

I see this **** on my dash all the time lord

P A N 03-20-2013 05:12 PM

wow. thank you social media for illuminating for me what "rape culture" means. i can't believe the breadth of demographics covered by this compendium of disgusting sh*t. sometimes i'm really astonished that it's twenty-f*cking-thirteen and people (lots of people, apparently) still have this sh*t inside themselves. wtf. gives me the shivers.

Freebase Dali 03-20-2013 06:11 PM

I bet all those people watch CNN:

Yes. This CNN story is actually putting the pity spin on the rapists.

It's similar in England as well. Ched Evans being a case in point.
