DJ_Jester 02-24-2004 02:59 PM

Yeah... that hurts... At least she could have said yes to save him the face and then talk to him later. That... yeah... that sucks.

Listen,if you are going to propose to a woman you are declaring that you love her and that you feel that she is the right woman for you because you have a wonderfull bond.An understanding that you have with no other. If you havn't read the signs right then you weren't to clever in the first place. As harsh as it sounds, but we all know men who are complete idiots that would propose to a woman in public like that thinking exactly that!! I cant lose!! She has to say yes!!! Think of the poor girl,if he had asked in private it would of been hard enough to let him down gently, but in public?? Knowing that half the people watching or more would be saying evil bitch!!
I think he's the evil one because he was hoping to trap her.

bummer

DJ_Jester 02-26-2004 09:47 AM

Sure I think some guys have that in their head. But it also is an exciting way to propose. "Dad! How did you and mom get married?" I mean you can answer with some boring story how you were at dinner and asked her one night on one knee or have this exciting story of how you proposed and publicly declared your love yadda yadda. I mean there is some sorta romantic side to doing things like that. Granted, this doesn't mean you propose during the Jaws part of the Universal Studios ride... ( That was an obscure movie reference. )

Eltiraaz 02-26-2004 09:52 AM

You both have points. It looks to me as though the guy was trying to trap her into saying yes. But the fact remains, if you dont want to marry someone, you just dont want to marry someone.. I thinks its good in a way that she was honest to herself.

I don't know if you guys heard this yet or not but I heard on the local news here yesterday that that whole proposal was actually a set up. A joke on the media I guess. It was all preplanned, so he didn't get his heart broken. The things people do to get on the news these days. lol

Eltiraaz 02-26-2004 10:23 AM

whats the point of that? did he want sympathy chicks banging on his door?
