The view outside of my mom's house is very boring. Just a yard and a house. The view outside of the bedroom at my dad's house is all woods. Kinda boring in the summer:

But quite nice in the winter:

He has a few acres, but now the valley he lives in is becoming a Wildlife Preserve, so whoever's there now is all there will ever be. Here's a shot of the mountain he lives on. The foreground is where there's supposedly some bog turtles, which is a big part of why it's now protected.

CanwllCorfe, the second picture looks very Game of Thrones, while the third one is just so picturesque! Stunning!

Oh I know! Generally speaking that's very true. The woods behind my dad's are far too thick to go into. If the underbrush wasn't there, or was as thick as it used to be, you could walk up the mountain and get some insanely cold water from one of the springs, or walk to one of the big openings. Now you'd just get scrapes and scratches all over you, and more than likely a tick or five.

Yeah sometimes I find myself not really appreciating it, since I grew up here, but it really is a gorgeous area. I can't wait to pick berries!

Oh it's exactly like it. One of the biggest reasons that movie freaked me out as a kid is because it looked like it could have been filmed here in the Poconos.
