Anyone else experience ASMR?

Never knew there was a term for it until today.

This is Wikipedia's description:
Quote:

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli. The nature and classification of the ASMR phenomenon is controversial. Tom Stafford, a professor at the University of Sheffield, says, "It might well be a real thing, but it's inherently difficult to research."[1]
Basically certain sounds in isolation, usually quiet and repetitive ones, invoke a tingling and relaxing sensation throughout the body that feels really good, almost like the build-up to an orgasm :)

I've always experienced it but didn't realize youtube people made videos just for it until recently. It puts your brain into a sort of trance, certain voices and vocal stimuli have always done it for me. None of the videos fully below fully do it for me, but they have somewhat of an effect

Yes Hi, from the pictures of the vids alone I can testify that it appears that it matches the phenomena as I often get this when I am being creative in works or watching/ listening to successful expressions which are heartfet and meaningful like, hey maan I must get out of me this rage moments. :hphones: I didnt even watch the youtube.

I've heard of this but I've never really checked it out. I'll assume that it works, because a lot of people like to listen to very relaxing sounds during meditation.

I don't really "watch" ASMR videos, I like to put them on if I'm about to fall asleep. It's just really relaxing to have someone whisper stuff in your ear, especially in another language. Definitely one of my favorite ASMR creators above, **** is just so comfy.

Ive got the tingles a few times but usually not. I was first introduced to it when I stumbled on The Quiet Sprite, I dont listen too often though.

I thought she was Japanese, cause it was weird and kinky like that. You know like cause of the kind of weird and kinky stuff they do in Japan. But here it turns out she is Polish? Nice eyes though.

OK I don't know about you, but I could not keep a straight face like that mannequin with her whispering in my ear. I don't know if it is an ASMR thing, but if someone whispers or talks in my ear at a close distance and at a certain angle it makes me laugh.

It's a nice thing to throw on in the background if you hate silence but need to concentrate. I actually prefer the French of Russian videos because I don't know what they're saying.

I actually love asmr, especially for my mental health.
