But people have the ability to make decisions. Not everyone, placed in the same situation, would make the same decision and we all react to things differently. I dont think it does apply to people.

I dont really see a way we can claim to be able to control any reactions to our actions.

I'm always up for a few rounds.

I'm the easiest person in the world to win an argument with though. Feed me beer and I'll say whatever you want. I'm just that strong.

like briks i do think its a good concept

logically it doesnt make any sense to me but i tend to believe in some sort of karma. i continue bein a good person, workin hard and doin all the right things and every so often somethin will fall into my lap or fall into my place

like a few weeks ago i was in a cab after the bar. long story short i was arguin with my friend and when he realized he wasnt gonna win, he started like trash talkin the cab driver. so to over compensate for my friend bein a douche, i got the cab drivers number cause on the ride he talked about startin a business.

next mornin he calls me and says i dropped my wallet in his cab. he mailed it back with everythin in tact

It's a terrifying thought that people need to ultimately be threatened or bribed into being decent humans.

Mojo 01-13-2014 02:00 PM

^^I actually couldn't agree more with this. I often find myself thinking that, when peoples decisions are frequently based on 'what's in it for me'?

To be honest, I also find a lot of sadness in what I see as the current 'faith in humanity restored' kind of celebration of very basic acts of human decency that go viral online.

^ I have the opposite problem which is gonna land me in a dumpster some where in an dark alley...I take everyone at face value...I just assume that people are inherently good, and at the sight of acts of true injustice they will do what is right... But that is my perception of the world.. I am not in control of the reactions of others to my initial actions like wise I am not in control of the actions of others just my reactions..
