GFY Warrant!

I've been following my buddies FB posts about a benefit they played the other day. The band "Warrant" was supposed to play at some point too, but took the money and ran. This was supposed to help out the Washington IL tornado victims. What a bunch of ****ing pussies. It's funny, the drummer from Convoy said he'd setup a Boxing charity event challenging the entire Warrant band. My moneys on him.

I like what a local radio station had to say:

While I am not a fan of WARRANT I did think that is was cool that they would be helping out those impacted by the November 17th Tornado that changed the lives of so many people in Central Illinois.

Their original permits were pulled and Freakster's Roadhouse stepped up to host the show so the money could still be raised. I found out late Sunday that WARRANT didn't take the stage and left town with their money.

I am offering WARRANT the opportunity to call me and explain why they offered to do a fundraiser only to take the money and run.

Were they simply playing off the compassion of those of us living in Central Illinois to always lend a helping hand to make a quick buck?

I'll let my listeners chime in on their thoughts on WARRANT's actions this past weekend.

This is truly disgusting. I hope they get what they deserve and their careers are ruined for being so soulless.

I assume this is the mid/late 80's hair metal band (and I hasten to add one of the worst). They earned a GFY award just for releasing Cherry Pie. This takes them to lows I wouldn't have fathomed were even possible. A lifetime achievement of GFY.

Absolute bastards. It's not like they would have needed the money; probably still living high off the sales of ****ing "Cherry pie"! But either way, they're poor excuses for human beings for doing this. Hope they get a lot of hate mail and people boycott their gigs and stop buying their albums. I don't have any of their material but if I did I would delete or throw it out.

Disgraceful. Way to show the young 'uns how to do it you shower of ****s!

I understand they needed to recoup the travel expenses, but 10K???!!! ...and then NO explanation? Just bad biz.

I'm sure they'll be caught and brought to legal justice. What they did isn't just terrible, I'm pretty sure it's not allowed. Bye bye, Cherry Pie earnings.
