Anybody wear band shirts?

I do. Feels good, like I want my love of music to be represented visually.

On top of that, what about apparel?
I'm considering it. Chains, piercings, symbols, maybe even a tattoo sleeve. When the image grows, I'll know what I'll commit to.

I have an Andrew Jackson Jihad shirt that I wear a lit, and some of their stickers on my guitar, I also have a Blue Note short, but I'm not sure if that counts.

I think Frownland has a giant Captain Beefheart face tat...

RoxyRollah 12-31-2014 03:00 AM

One simply doesn't own too many band t shirts.

Cuthbert 12-31-2014 06:22 AM

No. Think it's a bit odd really.

Pet_Sounds 12-31-2014 06:25 AM

I've only got one, a John Lennon t-shirt.

Isbjørn 12-31-2014 06:30 AM

I have an Iron Maiden shirt I bought at a show, two Black Sabbath shirts, a Bruce Springsteen shirt, a Jayhawks shirt, a Queen shirt, a Beatles shirt, a Kaizers Orchestra shirt, a homemade Elliott Smith shirt, and a homemade Smiths shirt. A decent collection, I'd say.

Frownland 12-31-2014 06:44 AM

There's seriously another thread started on this?

I have a few Beatles shirts, Zeppelin, VU & Nico, Hendrix (3), Lennon, Wolves in Sheepskin, Sabbath, Megadeth, & Rush shirts. I got the last threes from shows of those groups.

Yeah, I wear all that kinda' stuff.

But my favorite is my Yoda Lives!
t-shirt.

Just remembered I have a few Floyd shirts too. My friend has a Coltrane shirt, I think I'm going to challenge him to a duel for it.

Josef K 12-31-2014 08:42 AM

Spiritualized, Titus Andronicus, Neutral Milk Hotel, the Replacements, Big Star, the Antlers, Elvis Costello, and a couple more that I'm not remembering right now.

Oriphiel 12-31-2014 09:59 AM

The only one that comes to mind is a Judas Priest shirt that I've had forever. Defenders of the Faith. Every time I wear it out, a metal head gives me the devil-horns.

I try to get t-shirts from bands that I think would benefit from the free advertising or bands that I'd like to advertise for (I don't have anything against The Beatles, but I don't think they really need the exposure). I get a lot of questions about my Octopus Project t-shirts, I think both because of the name and because one of the designs is an illustration of a deer riding a motorcycle.

Admittedly, I'm currently wearing a Mars Volta shirt, so in this instance... my exposure principle doesn't exactly hold up.

I'm going to make a Machine+ shirt that's just a t-shirt that in sharpie says Machine+, and then some drawings.

Then if you see somebody wearing a Rage Against the Machine shirt, you can have a duel.

Nice. I made my WISK shirt online that had the bands name in some silly font and in brail. We're making lady's shirts with the brail...well you can probably guess where it goes.

That's actually ****ing genius

I only have 2 band shirts. Both Iron Maiden. One was given to me by my Uncle, and the other one I just bought today. Never really thought much of buying band shirts, but I love Maiden too much, so they can have my money.
