Anyone got any resolutions?

Happy new year. I usually have nothing to be excited about but now that I'm more into music I'll be trying to keep up with the 2015 releases.

That's exactly how I feel, this year was basically me playing catch up on albums from the past to get myself some knowledge, so now I'll actually have motivation to go listen to new music.

Last year my ex slashed my tires on NYE and this year half my hometown burnt to the ground. I'm really starting to hate this holiday.

Suck it, 2014.

Happy New years! In 2015 I will have a new job, possibly in a new state, both daughters will be off to college, should be a very different year.

2014 has been a great year.

I want to finish my screenplay, improve at guitar, become more familiar with world cinema (actually, my goal is to watch 300 movies this year), shoot at least one short, listen to music more and more widely, improve my French

Keep at the gwiter and you'll definitely get better at it. Be sure to show us the short too!

Thanks, I'll make sure to. I've saved a little money for whatever gear that I don't have, and I have a few interested actors lined up. I really just have to write a thing and find locations to shoot.

Oh, and I'm going to tack on "read more and more widely" to my list.

What's your screenplay?

I have a couple I'm working on actually. That's probably the issue with them not being finished.

There are two that are decently far along. The first one is a series four or five fifteen minute long vignettes that all take place at the same time in a diner. I guess you could call it (dark) comedy, although it will hopefully have some serious moments too.

The second is the stories built around a dollar bill as it is passed from hand to hand. Sort of an attempt to avoid the structural dogmas that most screenwriting books tend to spew while still being somewhat coherent.

Those actually sound like really cool ideas, are you going to try and make them into film when you're done?

Idk, I need to get a few shorts under my belt first. The first one is doable I guess (limited cast, only one location, dialogue driven)

Oh, and btw, I'm in the future now. Where's my hoverboard?

Well whatever you do I'll be excited to see what you're doing because that stuff sounds really interesting.

Everyone always brings up the hoverboard, but... I kinda liked the futuristic shoes.
