Still doesn't beat last year though, when there was like 6 inches of ice covering the foot of snow, and I was snowed into my house for a week with no power over Christmas. Instead of turkey we had bread and cold soup lol.

Oh man, last winter was awful. We went away for a couple weeks, and the guy we'd hired to clear our driveway never showed up. Shovelling almost three feet of snow at 11pm while still jetlagged was a unique experience, to say the least.

Beyond ridiculous. Gonna be tons of flooding this spring.

i remember when i lived in vermont for 6 months during the winter, i couldn't hack it

i dunno how my ancestors did it. my body feels like i should have descended from people from the tropics.

When we moved back in 1997 it felt awesome to include the snow blower and shovels as part of the house sale.

i think i might prefer it in cali over florida as well. i've never been to cali but i hear it's nicer and not as humid. florida tropic weather is a bit extreme for me but i'd still take that over vermont, lol. if i'm ever rich i'd have a place in the mountains or something like that and **** with the cold for a few weeks as a sport. i could do that easily. but day to day living in arctic weather? nah. ny is the only city that would make that worthwhile for me.

Ya, you just pay an extra $1.00 per gallon of milk and gasoline.

F*ck.

Still not quite sure why it's so ridiculously expensive to live here.

John Wilkes Booth 02-16-2015 11:59 AM

yea, i would never go there unless i had money

honestly florida is a terrible state to be poor in cause the cost of living there is pretty high as well and yet the wages for unskilled labor are just as **** as any other part of the south, which is mostly what's on offer assuming you're not a waitress or bartender.

at least the other parts of the south have genuine industrial jobs to work and a much lower cost of living

I would love to have a winter like that just for one year to see if I like it. I know it's a huge pain in the ass but I love the freakin snow, and life just slows down when it happens which is nice.

TFW it's snowing and you still go outside for a cigarette.
