Ok so obviously problems with country differences and whatnot apply here, but in your homeland, what is the best music television station? The amount of crap ones here are obscene, but as I see it MTV 2 is generally the real deal. It plays a nice amount of indie, and keeps the emo and metal-heads happy I think…Zane Lowes Gonzo is pretty good despite hime being more annoying than a Crazy Frog farm. Other contenders would be Kerrang!, The Amp and *shivers* Q…Or are there any good music shows on your terrestrial TV? There’s none in Ireland really….We poor unprivileged souls…

I have to say Kerrang, Scuzz and Mtv2 although VH2 can be all right.

I love Zane Lowes Gonzo. I think he is really funny and he has a wide range of music tastes. He knows his stuff and they have great guests on their show too. I am a regular watcher

So yeah anyway thats my fave stations

theres a local channel here that plays alot of good music 24 hrs a day. Ive seen alot of live Clash, Social D, old Nirvana footage, and alot of other live performances as well as videos from Phish to Exploited on it. Its called something like Bohemia Music Channel or something like that. We simply refer to it as Channel 44. Its what is usually on if the tv is on at all at my house.

we'll ....in Croatia ( that is the country i am from......no, seriously.....it is!), if you don't have a digital satellite dish or cable there is only one music show ( we have 4 national tv networks ), it airs twice a week for 2 hours, saturday and sunday,sometimes on a saturday they play stuff like the bravery, hot hot heat, u2, kaiser chiefs, franz, QOTSA ( if you're really really lucky ), and on sunday and most saturdays it's good ol' jenifer lopez,britney , eminem, fitty, and other bushit.....suffice to say it targets 9 year olds....( really, they have this sms thingy on the bottom of the screen and all the messages are form kids in 5th or 6th grade...)
am i frustraded much? yes....but thats why i have this forum to bitch and moan.....i'm getting a digital dish.....i have to get one or i'll go insane...and i would really really like to get your mt2 or other uk mtv...i can't take the german mtv bullshit anymore....it's horrifying!!...but i probobly can't get it....

i find all music channels crappy mtv makes me angry mtv2 can play good stuff SOMETIMES but i just stick with c.ds and listening to stuff online :)

well the local channel Ztv has a few good moments with their general selection if you're lucky but the good shows are late at night like the rock where they play a variety of rock, then there's one roughly translated to 'editor's suggestions' they must have a really good editor because they play a whole bunch of good music from all genres. the show where they show new vids is usually good(where i first saw my nine black alps vid) especially if the selection's good that week. that's probably the best music channel. it's wideranged and they sometimes play classics in one show where they play vids for an hour that are all part of a certain theme, e.g GnR, Nirvana, Covers and originals, etc...
SVT1 and SVT2 sometimes have concerts or they have movies about the greats and the less famous artists, it's really great but that's not very often...
sometimes if i catch it(i don't know the mtv schedule) they might have a few good vids in the 'alternative nation' show...but Ztv is definately the best music channel(considering i only have 2)
