On a music forum I always assumed someone would know the significance of that album cover, but thus far it seems like no one has.

More than you, apparently. How come you have no urge to watch it? The title is kind of misleading because the film goes a lot deeper than what the premise would have you believe. But go ahead and miss out on some good art, I won't lose any sleep over it.

That's not fair. I wasn't here to say it first :(

Think I had this for a lot of my first year here.
It was either Satchmo or Big3 who told me they read all my posts in his voice.

It was perfect too, having a grinning Stephen Hawking telling people they listened to shit music would really make them angry.

Just out of curiosity, what made you choose the avatar you have now?

I posted a news story on here about some monkeys in Wales, their heater had broke over Christmas and they were given blankets to keep themselves warm. They looked cute clutching their blankets which I was gonna have as my avatar, at the time I also wanted a name change so thought I'd wait for the name change and then change my avatar, cos it kind of fits with the monkeytennis thing.

Ya, it's a brilliant film on so many levels. And I consider it Fincher's best from a technical standpoint.

I'd say it's his best on all fronts.

Definitely a great film, same with Zodiac and Gone Girl. Fight Club really spoke to my downer teenage self when I saw it so it'll always have a special place in my heart.

Black Francis 03-11-2015 11:43 AM

Fight club is the reason i think Edward Norton is a great actor.

His narration and inner monologue is the best part of FC for me.

Se7en is alright but it all comes down to the head in the box the rest of the film is not that great imo. The Cell or Taking lives are way better.

Have you seen Primal Fear? He was nominated for an Oscar for that. He's unbelievable in it. (it's was his first film too)

i know, i for one bought his innocent boy act too.

i didn't know that was his first film though, that's pretty amazing to hear considering his acting was superb in it.

Chula Vista 03-11-2015 12:27 PM

Spoiler for Primal Fear:

Vail: "So there never was a Roy?"

Stampler: "There never was an Aaron, counselor!"

James 03-11-2015 02:35 PM

25th Hour is my favourite Ed Norton performance. Great film.

Trollheart 03-11-2015 02:51 PM

I really liked your dragon one. I've come to associate it with you.

Every thread eventually either fades away, devolves into a senseless argument, or turns into a discussion about movies...

I love, love, love Hot Fuzz! One of my favorite movies growing up.

The Batlord 04-22-2015 05:00 PM

I was about to say, "Growing up? That movie isn't even that old," but then I noticed it came out in 2007. It feels like only yesterday when I saw it in theaters.

Burning Down 04-22-2015 05:04 PM

It's been so damn long that I can't even remember. It was probably something stupid.

Chula Vista 04-22-2015 05:07 PM

Most likely Jimmy Page.
