The Penguin. though he was a batman villain, he could still kick spideys ass. not the green lantern, mind you, but in a knife fight, id put my money on El Penguino

All these Venom and Carnage fans make me sick. They're fun when you're young and dumb, but are actually pretty terrible characters who you really can only tell one story about. There's a reason they've struggled to remain relevant after the 90s, because they were the 90s.

Oh and Carnage is just a bland ripoff of the Joker.

I didn't read a lot of Spiderman comics as a kid, but I remember thinking this guy was kind of lame

As for good ones, I don't know... Green Goblin almost by default, since I don't know that much about Spiderman. I had some old comics once that told the whole story with Gree Goblin, Gwen and all that.

My gut is to go for Doc Oc. Those hentai arms are like the best villain thing ever. And after reading Superior Spider-Man it's kind of hard not to love him.
