You'd probably love it just like everyone else (in this scenario) due to it being it so relevant to your life.

Takes a couple listens anyway, and on good headphones ideally.

Yeah abrasive static-y noises sound much better the fourth time compared to the first time, what was I thinking

Frownland 05-23-2015 01:49 PM

Yup, you start to understand that there's actually a lot to it.

YorkeDaddy 05-23-2015 01:50 PM

In your opinion

Frownland 05-23-2015 01:53 PM

It's quite an array of noises and a lot more dynamic than what you describe. Whether you like it or not doesn't matter but it is quite true that there are a ****load of textures and change ups throughout. I used to feel the same as you, then I listened to it more and noticed its depth.

One day you'll be reppin this album as much as me, you're just going through the token stage of denial :D.

YorkeDaddy 05-23-2015 01:54 PM

I've made music with lots of textures and change ups, why am I not praised as a genius??

Frownland 05-23-2015 01:56 PM

Probably because you didn't start the velvet underground and release a stream of very successful solo albums.

If it was Reed's first album, he would be aligned to the underground but I feel like with the industrial movement it would have found a cult following still.

That's because you enjoy sports. If you didn't, you'd really notice how ubiquitous they are.

Trollheart 05-23-2015 01:59 PM

Ooh yeah, I must put that on my to-listen list!

If you're saying you hate sports as much as I hate MMM...well then I'm kind of disturbed and think you have some deep psychological issues from childhood contributing to that
