So, you've never posted any Youtube videos where someone has edited footage to sound like someone is farting?

of course, this just means you're probably my Kryptonite

Frownland 06-02-2015 11:04 AM

We still doing lyrics?

I live down the street from you've noticed me, I've never seen you
Wonder what the **** I do
Listen up, you nosy bitch, listen close
My most recent purchase, old black rope
Gonna learn how to tie it, hang it in my chamber
Perfect reminder, occult I'm made of
Come try it out whenever you wanna
Last night, 3:30 in the morning, Death on my front porch
Can feel him itching to take me with him, hail death, **** you waiting for
Like a question no one mention, he turns around, hands me his weapon
He slurs, "Use at your discretion, it's been a pleasure, Stefan"

Trollheart 06-02-2015 05:54 PM

This is the thread where you do what you want, nobody has to be up for school or work and there are no adults to spoil your fun.

I'm your only friend I'm not your only friend But I'm a little glowing friend But really I'm not actually your friend But I am
Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch Who watches over you Make a little birdhouse in your soul Not to put too fine a point on it: Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet Make a little birdhouse in your soul
I have a secret to tell From my electrical well It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly My name is blue canary One note, spelled L-I-T-E My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette It doesn't rest
Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch Who watches over you Make a little birdhouse in your soul Not to put too fine a point on it Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet Make a little birdhouse in your soul
I'm your only friend I'm not your only friend But I'm a little glowing friend But really I'm not actually your friend But I am
There's a picture opposite me Of my primitive ancestry Which stood on rocky shores And kept the beaches shipwreck-free Though I respect that a lot I'd be fired if that were my job After killing Jason off And countless screaming Argonauts Bluebird of friendliness Like guardian angels it's Always near
Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch Who watches over you Make a little birdhouse in your soul Not to put too fine a point on it Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet Make a little birdhouse in your soul
While you're at it Leave the nightlight on Inside the birdhouse in your soul Not to put too fine a point on it Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet Make a little birdhouse in your soul
(Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch) While you're at it (Who watches over you) Leave the nightlight on (Make a little birdhouse in your soul) Inside the birdhouse in your soul Not to put too fine a point on it Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet Make a little birdhouse in your soul

Finally one i recognise, TMBG have great lyrics

Love sees love's happiness
But happiness can't see that love is sad
That love is sad
Sadness is hanging there
To show love somewhere something needs a change
They need a change

They'll need a crane, they'll need a crane
To take the house he built for her apart
To make it break it's gonna take a metal ball hung from a chain
They'll need a crane, they'll need a crane
To pick the broken ruins up again
To mend her heart, to help him start to see a world apart from pain

Lad's gal is all he has
Gal's gladness hangs upon the love of lad
The love of lad
Some things gal says to lad aren't meant as bad
But cause a little pain
They cause him pain

Don't call me at work again no no the boss still hates me
I'm just tired and I don't love you anymore
And there's a restaurant we should check out where
The other nightmare people like to go
I mean nice people, baby wait,
I didn't mean to say nightmare

What is with white people anyway? They really are just goofy. I can understand cultural differences, but how does a lack of rhythm come about because of culture?

I'll have to go with the missionary position.

It could have something to do with American culture being terrified of even thinking about sex for quite some time. Since the body is used for sex, using it as a medium for other pleasures is just as bad in Jesus's eyes as being promiscuous. They stopped teaching their children how to dance, and with that loss of education the entire white people dance culture devolved into what you see in the video, tapping toes while snapping, and square dancing.

Hey now line dancin' and square dancin' may not be popular up yonder but it's sure a thing where I come from. More fun then slapping a bull's ass and runnin'.

You know I almost put a disclaimer in there for you with the square dancing bit, but I didn't think you would be that stereotypical of a Texan.

I was joking. I've been line dancing but never square dancing. Just wanted to see what you'd say, Yankee ;)

Frownland 06-03-2015 09:20 AM

Slapping bull's asses is definitely a popular past time outside of Texas though.

It really is. Just jump over the fence, smack it's ass as hard as you can then you'd better run like the Devil himself is after you because that bull's horns are going to hurt a lot more.

If you're a fan, this might be for you...

You know, TMBG are giving away two albums worth of Live stuff on their website.

They recorded their entire first LP live in concert and the have recorded a Live show of the entire "Flood" album from 1990, but just for fun they did it in reverse order. So the last song on the studio LP is first on the Live show and vice versa. And it's all FREE!!!

Tell your friends. They Might Be Giants | Installing and servicing melody since 1982
