We all had different ideas when we came here first. Some wanted genuine music discussion, some wanted to find new bands. Some, like me, just initially wanted to spam my game and then later discovered the journals section and snuggled in for several months. Batty of course came here expecting hot chicks and free beer, or even the other way around.
But over the years/months, how has your perception, both of the place itself and what you had initially sought from it, changed, if at all? I've come to view it as an essential place to be, happy to contribute when I can or just sit back and enjoy the, um, banter, when I'm not getting outraged by someone taking the piss out of me. I've made a lot of friends, the odd enemy and have been able to force everyone to listen to my ravings and ramblings here. I can't really envision my life without it, which is both sad and awesome at the same time. Anyone else? |

I joined and said I would avoid the political discussions and stuff but ended up getting sucked in because my experiences with them have been mostly good. I've done my best to avoid drama and just have fun discussing music. My view/expectations of the forum as a whole haven't changed only my views on individual members.

I came to read old discussions in the emo forum and make stupid threads for Urban to close.
I come here to brag about my great music taste
I came here to kick ass and listen to Manowar. That's really only one thing.
Than why do you act like you got your ass kicked by Manowar?
Why do act like you got butt ****ed by Tommy Lee?
I just wanted to talk to people who liked music.
I hate everyone and coming to a forum where people hate everybody just seemed like the perfect opportunity to hate on everyone.
