i can sort of sympathize with this sentiment... cause for most genres of music (rock/metal/classical/jazz/pop/etc) that is basically the extent of what i have to say.

i might have more to say about specific artists in some cases... but yea. i try to take music pretty loosely. and there's just so much of it that there's a lot of genres i don't really feel confident enough to judge them casually

but i have a lot to say about hip hop/rap music (yes, they're the same thing @ semantic-***s) mostly cause it is the music i was listening to during my critical years of development and so i have a decade or two invested in exploring this particular genre

So do you only like that gangsta business or do you also like it when hip hop is interesting?

John Wilkes Booth 08-24-2015 02:56 PM

nah, that's decen't... and i've been listening to blu for several more years than you've been posting on this forum... but if you are implying gangsta rap isn't interesting? cause if so i'd refer you to my "why happy people are superior pt 3" thread

Frownland 08-24-2015 02:59 PM

A lot of the classic stuff is nowhere near as interesting as what it's become imo. Since you never really post about it I don't really know what artists you're hot on.

i think that hip hop peaked in the early-mid 90's
