Honestly, I would attribute this to two things:

1) I imagine it's a matter of contribution, and I've been quite active in my one month, whereas previous members may not be, thus giving the false impression of my awesomeness.
B) I didn't have much of a n00b stage to go through, because this is my 7th or 8th forum in as many years, and I have a pretty good idea how not to be a twat and get a bashing.
