Well, the water was like a half a car height in the deepest part of the low area, so I wouldn't have tried either way. Not in my little Honda Civic. hehe.

I saw someone crash through an apartment security gate on my way home from class last night...

Exercised very poor judgment today, but my little sister now thinks I'm a fearless badass.

She pointed out that there was something in the woods, while we were on the back deck. With total disregard for my safety, I took a running leap off of the deck (over a five foot drop) onto very uneven ground to investigate.

I assumed that it was just a chicken who had escaped from the person who lived adjacent to us, and was just acting like I was all fearless or whatever...then, about three strides after landing, I actually saw what it was.

It was a fucking bobcat.

Fortunately for me, I frightened it when I jumped off of the deck like a crazy person and it ran deeper into the woods and away from me. Somehow, I managed to turn around and pretend I wasn't horrified and surprised to say with complete nonchalance: "Oh, it was just a bobcat," then walk back to the deck.

My little sister thinks I'm a badass now. I'm lucky she didn't see me jump on top of my friend's car a few weeks ago when I heard a coyote; she'd probably know what a huge wuss I really am.

Aside from that, I've just spent the day watching basketball. My bracket has survived unscathed.

Haha younger siblings abuse every situation to make a role model out of their superiors, don't they? Plus bobcats aren't very violent, humans scare the living shit out of them, so for future reference you may want to just want to run screaming at bobcats in front of friends/family/mates that you are trying to impress to make yourself look fearless.

The bruise that runs from my pinky knuckle past my wrist has turned that horrible greeny yellow colour. Horrible. Plus my dogs laying in my bed next to me and keeps on taking creepy twitches and hogging my bed.

More like Last 7 Days, but I just moved back to Eugene OR from Idaho and I'm back to trying to find work and a place to stay. Kickin it at the library right now, craigslisting.

I'm sitting in my office for another 8 hours shift. We're showing A Separation, Act of Valor, and The Iron Lady this week. Shouldn't be too busy.
