So, it wasn't yours then :p:

Ooof.
It was real windy out here in the Windy City on Saturday and when I opened the door to my truck to head into Menards the dam thing almost took my arm off. I saved my arm from being pulled off by haphazardly trying to keep the door from blowing off it's hinges using only my middle and ring fingers of my left hand. They didn't fare too well and I'm now unable to make a fist as I had pulled the tendons attaching two digits to it's counterpart, which would be the rest of my hand, way out of their proper aligned seating within. Not sure when I'll be able to play guitar again, let alone open a door using that hand. Ouch. |

You should be able to recover from that. |
Rub some dirt on it.
|
Batty will sell you a spell to fix it.
|
That's really bad when it affects you playing Guitar...says how bad it is Plonkton..
Trolley his spells are just wizzard stuff..like puff the magic dragon |
Yeah just smoke some weed.

I just made a fist and yelled at a cloud, so I think I'm good.

Well, I woke up, had coffee with cognac in the morning, had a walk, then I jammed with my friends (some covers of Oasis) and after lunch some "high" energy:pimp:
|
Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head Found my way downstairs and drank a cup And looking up, I noticed I was late Found my coat and grabbed my hat Made the bus in seconds flat Found my way upstairs and had a smoke And now it’s 10am and I’m at work |
You have a hat?
|

I don't usually wear a hat because my headphones are way to big, for it to be comfortable (then again, they're so bigyucould consider my headphones a hat) When it's warmer I do wear a cap though |

Being late for work rules cause you're no longer on a schedule.

Not a good day yesterday. My pulse was about 40 and I ended up in the ER. They sent me home and lightened my Metoprolol to see if that does the trick and sent me home. Still feel a bit weak. Guess we'll see if it works in a few days.

Thanks, guys. I feel okay when I'm rested.

That's good, rs.

Are you a Witcher who hadn't come out of the closet yet? |
Well, my pulse is about 48 now so maybe I'm getting promoted (or demoted; I don't know how witchcraft works)

The standard is 60-100 (bpm) |

So, I'm guessing you're getting back to normal (demoted)? |
Yeah, but I'm taking Metoprolol so my heart doesn't accelerate. They're thinking I'm taking too much of it at this point, thus the Bradycardia. I'm also on lots of Potassium so that could also be a factor. Anyway, I'm fine when I'm not doing anything. It's when I exert myself when I really feel it.
I hope so Mucha, yesterday wasn't much fun, that's for sure. |
It's weird living in a flat.
I lived in one all my life But now I live on my own And suddenly I listen much more to the "neighbours" And the"neightbourhood noise" And I tend to experience more, of what you could call: the feeling of "this neighbourhood is my home" The flat solidarity or whatever I mean, there's some serious argument going on upstairs. I can hear through the walls that there's a couple upstairs having a fight. A serious fight. And, like, she's screaming and he's shouting And I'm pretty sure he is banging his fists around the walls. Like in a state of uncontrolled-helplessness. It's 9pm btw And I don't know what to do Should I knock on their doors? Should I call the cops? It's coming from the same apartment that was playing techno music for 48h (Sunday/monday [at 5:00,Tuesday, I started stabbing the ceiling with a broom]) strait. She's freaking throwing chairs around We're at downtown capital city ffs I thought this kind of thing only happened at the suburbs type of habitat |
Dam, hope you get sorted RS. Thats gotta be a little scary to say the least.
|
It was at first, but not quite as scary as my embolism eight years ago. I had similar symptoms at one point but, unlike the embolism, I improved a little so I thought I might be okay. Everything's still a little screwy though but the tests checked out okay.
So, I'm hanging in there :) |

Sorry I can't advise about your neighbours' noise, though your story reminds me of one of my own: a usually quiet young couple lived below me: one evening I heard raised voices, which was very odd, then suddenly, out of the blue came the girl's voice, crystal clear: "It's my f*cking life!" then it went quiet again. Something tells me they were having a full and frank discussion on the topic of marriage, babies, or both. |

After I discovered a new thing called a "coronary calcium scan,"
I'm now a big believer in everyone getting one - starting at 40, but earlier if you have or had a relative with a bad heart. You can have low cholesterol, but not even know that you may have dangerously high coronary calcium. The reverse can be true too: high cholesterol, but little or no coronary plaque. People with low cholesterol think they're in the clear until that day comes when their heart gives out. It's a relatively new, but super easy procedure that takes only a few minutes on a table as the run a CT scan on you and give you a printout. Most insurance doesn't cover it yet (too new?), but it was the best $79 I've spent in a long time. |
