I don't remember if i've mentioned this, but it has to do with something that I noticed today. So, remember back when I was told that Office Depot was going to have me come in and work? Well..didn't happen. The manager that was in charge at the time was fired due to making me do all the paperwork, going to get my drug test, and then NEVER called me in to start my first day because of "schedule issues". So, I went to deliver a package today because it's convenient, I noticed two things:

1. Office Depot took down their "Now Hiring" sign because the new manager doesn't want to hire me.
2. There's new staff, which means he brought some people on, but never notified me when I was going to start.

The main issue I have is...I never got a call. Never was told to come in to start work. I had put off so many other interviews becuase I though this was said and done, but it wasn't, only to come find out that the new manager has no intentions of being hired, which is lame. I may go in and ask them to get rid of my paperwork, because technically I am still employed with them, which means they are required to have me come in and start, assuming they haven't gotten rid of my paperwork.

All in all, I am tired of all this BS with people.

I waited two weeks to hear back from a company on whether a decision had been made regarding my apprenticeship and they finally told me I didn't get it, only after me emailing them to let me know. Two interviews (spending well over £20 in the process) and they weren't even going to inform me. What a bunch of douchetards.

A lot of companies usually don't bother to respond back to unsuccessful interviewees. If they don't respond to you after two weeks then you can just assume that you weren't successful. When they do respond it's nice as they can give you feedback and you can assess where you went wrong.

Ki that is a serious bummer. It's probably not worth dealing with it as I wouldn't work for a company that pulls shit like that.

I do understand that, but after going in for two interviews and genuinely forging somewhat of a relationship (sharing jokes/stories etc.) with the people there, I expected to at least hear back at some point. Also, the email they sent was obviously a copy and paste job, nothing critical.

After two interviews I'm surprised they didn't as you would have been on the shortlist. But in a lot of cases they're just focused on the successful candidate(s) and either forget or just not bother to reply to the unsuccessful ones. I remember when I was applying for jobs a year and a half ago I didn't even hear back from half the companies I interviewed with. One company even emailed me back over a MONTH after the interview.

That is unfortunate. Your teeth will now be haunted. Mark my words, at some point, they will begin to disappear.
