So, I'm on day 5 of 6 for work this week, so I'm pretty burnt out, but I'm glad I worked today of all days. The drunk of a seafood manager got fired for being completely ****ed up at work today, and people seemed pretty happy about it. I laid in the grass and took a nap on lunch break, had a relatively calm night over all. My friend/coworker's friends rolled up with a blunt, took a few hits, gave hugs, and parted ways.
Then the highlight of my night happened, this family pulled up next to my store, asked if they thought it was still open, but they actually stopped by to look at the mural their grandmother painted. The family of 4 went up, and then out comes an old woman telling me what the mural was, it was a painting of old world farm in Syria, which I was really excited about. She asks me to come look at it, we chat about it and where she was born (Jerusalem) and about Syria in general. It was a beautiful moment,a really beautiful one. The daughter talks tells me about how her father (old woman's husband) passed away, and they were taking her mother out to cheer her up the past few months. Man, what a nice family.
Man, what a day.
