Cautionary tale.

It was a part of my sons magnetix building toy.
Each bearing acts as a joint between plastic 'sticks' that have magnets in them.
You can make cubes, 3D shapes etc.

After she swallowed the bearing I discovered that some of the magnet sticks were missing.
Thankfully the x-ray proved she hadn't.
I googled the effects of swallowing magnets and was horrified to find that they can link up in the intestine (in separate parts of the intestine) and cause a fatal blockage.

The toy is now in the bin.

I think it might be time to go on a diet.
