I hate the holiday season.

I'm definitely Hating this holiday season too.

As opposed to being married during the holidays, which pretty much ensures you're going to get dragged by the nose to fiftyleven different obligatory gatherings.

Probably because children are Christmas' #1 fans.

I'm going to let you in on a secret: they're faking it for the kids. If you will, avert your attention from their clinched maniacal smiles to their darting eyes, which are desperately scanning the premises for their misplaced glass of Pinot noir.

In that case, they might actually be enjoying themselves... especially if they have money. Few people are as insufferably jolly as those with money around the holidays.

We're lonely ****s with no lives. I love the idea of Christmas and what it can be, but it's about as eventful as my birthday these days, except I have to see even more relatives I'd rather avoid. Whenever I get my own place I'm never talking to my family again and I'm going to get a tree, decorate the **** out of it, and spend the night watching Simpsons, Futurama, and King of the Hill Christmas episodes with my phone turned off. Oh, and I'll finally see if eggnog is as disgusting as it sounds (with vodka to taste).

Reach for the stars, man.

The Peep Show Christmas episode has become an annual tradition for me.

Very true. People have a way of being much more bearable in their absence.
