Alcohol in general tastes objectively bad. You can do all sorts of stuff to cover the taste, but in the end you're hurling seasoning at a rancid steak.

Scotch and beers are delicious as fork. Also you don't even have to acquire a taste for merlot to be able to drink it. Quit drinking dirt and you'll see what I mean.

I've had plenty of good beer and thought, damn this tastes good... except for the alcohol.
