I don't need any of the life imsurance. I will just take care of Linny.

That is what happens when you listen to a trash Jay album.

I only go on there rarely, but No Sleep is pretty nice. But my go to scurry reddit/creepypasta type site is definitely the SCP Foundation Wiki, a sort of X-Files meets Men in Black thing. It's got a loose but highly developed storyline concept between all the entries that makes them far more immersive than if they were on their own, a style of storytelling that's perfect for giving the heeby jeebies, and best of all it's moderated, both for quality and uniformity of style. It's basically the best way I can find to make me too scared to go outside at night for a cigarette.

SCP Foundation

The top-rated page is your best bet and will steal days from your life.

Top Rated Pages - SCP Foundation

And these stories have massively ****ed with me.

But you're gonna want to first read up on all the background ****, or else you're going to be massively confused a lot of the time. The site is conceptually very detailed and comprehensive.

Spoiler for scurry long:

Stop being an idiot. Go to a doctor.

OH!! SCP Foundation!I love the entire concept of that. I had been meaning to to poke around that site after someone recommended it a while ago, but I was unable to remember the name of it for the life of me, so thanks. Creating something somewhat similar to that would be incredibly fun. I created a wikia page for that purpose once but completely forgot about it.

LetsNotMeet is a good one too (though not so much lately) and NoSleep is VERY hit or miss, but the good ones really stick in your brain for quite a while. Have you read the Search & Rescue officer series?? It seemed to be loosely based on David Paulides' accounts and investigations of the clusters of strange disappearances in national parks. (I highly suggest listening to all the Coast to Coast interviews with him if you're interested in spooky disappearances at all)

And those giant lists of the "world's creepiest wikipedia articles" that are always floating around online are rather entertaining late at night too. (The Voynich manuscript and the Dyatlov Pass incident, stuff like that)

Well if you ever get into it I made a thread a while back.

I'll have to check out the Search and Rescue thing, and I'm always looking for an excuse to listen to Coast to Coast. LetsNotMeet has had some stuff I liked, but nothing that I can remember, but NoSleep has given me some solid nightmare fuel. The thing about lighting a candle in your house and inviting something into your house for evil hide-and-seek and the one where you build a doll and have... evil hide-and-seek, are the ones I remember the most. I guess I don't like evil hide-and-seek.

YESSS wasn't it called the Three Kings ritual or something? Wait, no that was a different one (I think?)-- surely you've read that one, it's where you line up three chairs and sit in one in the dark, or something, and it also involves a candle, and waking up at a specific time at night (it's all very precise) and it sounded terrifying. Oh and look, it seems there's a whole subreddit for those games. I'm sure they're nonsense, but there is a tiny stupid goblin in my brain that still wishes to try them.

And I'll check out your thread very soon.

Frownland 06-30-2017 05:15 PM

I've heard it called one man hide and seek.

OH, right yes I remember that one. Sounds like a grand old time.

Yeah I remember that one, but I don't remember what it was about. I just looked up the one man hide and seek thing, and yeah that was it, although it was actually a creepypasta and not Reddit. The creepypasta wiki is probably one of the more disappointing scurry things on the internet. A few highly solid ones at the top-rated section but then a bunch of garbage like Jeff the Killer. ****ing Twilight fans.

Frownland 06-30-2017 05:28 PM

The only creepypasta I remember is The Sandman and that one's ****ing great.

The Sandman - Creepypasta

There was also another I think was called Egg. The protagonist is talking to god or something after they die and it turns out that they're every person that ever lived and that they will be reincarnated for all of eternity. Pretty much the story that turned me off of creepypasta tbh. It's one of those premises that sounds deep when it hops into your skull while you're taking a piss, but once you think about it a little more it's one of the most cliched and bull**** plots you could think of.
