Couldn't you just open the page showing your files on the Ipod and copy and paste them? Works with my Mp3

No, because there was no folder that comes up..the Ipod just runs directly through itunes. All of the backed mp3s i had were erased when the computer crashed.

There's an option on Itunes to put all of your files onto discs so in case your computer crashes you don't go insane.

Thats not really an option on itunes...you can do it with anything that burns CDs..and i planned on backing everything up on my friend's external hard drive because i could tell that we were gunna have to gix out computer and would lose everything anyways...this just happened before i had the chance.
