I’d rather get hit by a bicycle than a car

If you're drive and you know full well you've been drinking, anything that happens while you are knowingly driving under the influence is in fact your fault. Don't drive like an idiot. Yeah mistakes happen but using drinking as an excuse is worse.

That so many people are so judgmental about drunk driving but still drive sober is bull****

You put the community you’re driving through all the same risks as a drunk driver

Sober is less dangerous but not by THAT much

Sober drivers kill people every ****ing day just because they didn’t want to walk.

To be so extreme against drunk driving but just totally cool with sober driving doesn’t make sense. It’s a bunch of finger wagging instead self-reflection

You know cars endanger the community. You know fossil fuels are destructive.

You know every time you get behind the wheel you run the risk of having an accident

Wanna preach? Don’t ****ing drive at all. Otherwise **** off.

I don't drive. Because I'm terrified of it. And I'm blind.

Still doesn’t mean driving drunk isn’t worse than driving sober. It is.

But... 100% of fatal car accidents involve cars yet there’s no outrage against the private automobile. Why not? Because that involves looking in the mirror and acknowledging you yourself are part of the problem. It’s much easier to point at others.

Take a typical MADD mother. Her son is killed by a drunk driver. Tragic. But it’s also true that her son was killed by a driver. Yet she continues to drive herself, unwilling and seemingly unable to question the insanity of the private automobile.

It’s easy to say let’s eliminate this thing I don’t do but if you REALLY care about the carnage inflicted on society by the automobile you should be campaigning for safe, free, accessible, convenient public transportation.
