No, about four inches on top and shorter on the back and sides and I blend it in. You can do a buzz cut with just $20 clippers but if you intend to use them for anything other than that then you need decent ones which cost a fair bit (best part of $100).

I've gone through a ton of cheap clippers [$15-20 USD range] in my days. They are loud, get super hot, vibrate way too much and break too easily. If you plan to cut your own hair, good clippers are an investment. I currently have a set of Remington clippers. Not sure which model.

Just take the price of the clippers and divide that by how much a haircut costs at the barber shop or salon. You will see that they are a good investment.

I used to do a buzz cut, but can do basically any kind of fade now. I usually use 3 mirrors and can even edge up the back by myself. I don't use balding clippers, so I edge it up with a razor. If I f*ck up, I can always just revert to the buzz cut.

Last night, standing at a crosswalk.
