She's all I have, I have no real experience with anything. What am I suppose to do? Run away toting a knapsack? Heh, I tried that before.

The outside world is no place for me, I think I belong in solitary confinement because I'm quickly coming under the realization that I'm insane and can't fully relate to anybody else, even people who know me the most.

You are talking here aren't you? I highly, highly doubt you are insane. Everyone feels insane or mentally distorted at some point in their lives. The people that don't are either delusional or lying.

You live in US, I assume, and you said you have some minor mental handicap (that I wouldn't have known unless you said it), you have got to be 'entitled' to some government handout while you go find a job, right?

If you don't get out while you are still young you will regret it forever, plus it is going to happen eventually anyways, your grandma isn't going to live for another 80 years. My parents have been super controlling until I got to high school, then I just ignored their yelling until they stopped caring.

I never understood the notion of controlling your kids... I have three (admittedly young) kids myself, and I couldn't imagine ever trying to oppress them by being overly strict, restricting their freedoms or disapproving of their interests...

Sure I have expectations as far as the way they treat others, that they put in at least a good effort at school, that they clean up, finish chores etc... but thats all good and normal... I couldn't ever imagine trying to "control" any of them... I love them too much to squash 'em.

The thing is half of that disability money goes into rent, and getting certain jobs would mean losing that money and in these times especially I'd be hard pressed to find a job with enough working hours to pay me the amount of money I'd need to pay for the rent.

I think I am allowed to have certain jobs while still getting the check though, which is what I want to look into.

I would imagine so. That and working up to a certain amount of hours a week whilst still being able to claim.

Well, the Aussies went home over the last couple of days. My cousin went back to Yarmouth yesterday where she's currently living and working and my auntie went back to Australia a couple of hours ago. So, that kinds sucks.

However I have just managed to rid my PC of 3 viruses which is good.
