^ Ha ! I`m just now reading a book featuring lawyers, one of whom grumbles about state-referred clients without money. He says his attitude is " Everyone is innocent until proven broke."

@ Geddy: Sorry you are having such a difficult time. One effective remedy when I`m feeling low is to read a book about someone with similar problems, or worse. In that spirit, I`d like to ask if you`ve ever read " The Naked Civil Servant " by Quentin Crisp. It`s the autobiography of a guy who struggled to express himself, got into a lot of problems, but found some humour in his predicament too.

So for the past couple of weeks everyone has been all OH MY GOD TUMOR YOUR COUGH IS SO BAD YOU'RE SO SICK WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GO TO A DOCTOR YOU HAVE LUNG DISEASE YOUR MUCUS IS GREEN ARE YOU LOOKING AT YOUR MUCUS OH MY GOD TUMOR YOU'RE GOING TO DIE GO TO A DOCTOR TUMOR YOUR FATHER DIDN'T GO TO A DOCTOR EITHER OH MY GOD TUMOR YOU'RE GONNA DIE.
And I've been pretty chill about it, thinking that I could shake whatever it is by taking Benadryl every night and carrying around tissues. (BTW, taking two Benadryls and smoking three bowls makes for an especially lethal concoction. I dreamed that I was taming elephants in the African Savannah with a pool noodle that night.) But after all these only children that had spent their childhoods with people who flipped their shits every time they got a cold impressed upon me that I was dying or something, I convinced my very busy mother to take me to the doctor. And I sat in that waiting room thinking that I was going to be told that I had weeks to live.

But I just have bronchitis.

Yes! Part of a two person one act presentation of The Cask of the Amontillado, which is going to be wonderful - one of my best friends and I were the two cast out of that godforsaken theatre full of auditionees and a nightmarish callback process!

Also, got to accept a minor role in The Lottery - we're allowed to do two of the one acts IF the individual directors selected us, and I got cast in both of my top choices - and both of the shows I specifically auditioned for.

I thought that just putting down only those two plays on my sheet might be construed as kind of douchey and work against me, but it paid off big time. Wasn't as interested in the other three.
