Front left tie rod and cv shaft broke loose on my car as I was turning into my short but rather steep driveway. Rolled backwards down the street for a few seconds before the wheel and bearings etc got so ****ed up it wouldn't move anymore. Wasn't possible to push it all the way off the road so its just sitting there (thankfully in close proximity to a streetlight) with a couple cones around it until I get in touch with a mechanic tomorrow. Latest in a long string of car troubles and one I definitely can't afford rn, so you can bet I'm getting smashed tonight.

Feel you on the cars being too expensive thing. At work people describing their car troubles to each other is a ****ing daily regular. I’ve been carless for awhile. It sucks at the end of my shift thinking hooray I’m off but damn I don’t wanna walk home. Fortunately, I have a someone I can borrow their car for groceries. I like to think I’m the kind of person who doesn’t need a car but meh I hope to get one this spring. I don’t want a car payment though. I’m just going to get a beater and hope it lasts through the summer.

An update on my grandpa. He had another stroke yesterday. Nurses are saying possibly a few hours or a few days. My dad is there now. Will keep updated once I know more.
