Oh so you were just straight up holding your phone up to your ear like the reason these laws exist in the first place cause you had important IT business that simply could not wait? How long does it even take to ask if they've tried turning it off and then turning it back on?

Is there some data I’m not aware of or something? I don’t understand how having my phone at my ear warrants a ticket. Even when I have my phone nowhere near me I drive one handed more often than not. And other than that my eyes were on the road and I was going like 15 mph in a city, it didn’t feel dangerous at all. I do not ever text while driving for any reason, that’s what actually seems dangerous to me

I am legitimately ignorant on the topic, the only huge no no that has ever been emphasized to me is texting while driving

I turned 16 and got my license in 2010, when texting was definitely a universal thing
