Been doing lots of audio editing this weekend,
so I'm gonna relax and finish up the first book
and start the second book below:

Well, my 21 year old M8149 monitor has died at last.
It was grand all the way up to this evening.
Not a dead pixel in sight, but the connector finally rotted.
Now, what to do…

I have a local guy who I’ll visit tomorrow with the
DVI to ADC adapter (A1006) to see if it has just gone out.
If it’s that, then just a new adapter and hopefully all is right again.

Question for the fellas: when you're living alone, do you actually bother walking all the way to the bathroom to take a piss when there's a perfectly good empty receptacle sitting next to you, like a plastic bottle or even a tea or coffee pot you just finished? I mean, life's too short for getting up from the sofa every god damn time after you drank an entire French press-worth of coffee. You're gonna wash it afterwards anyway before making a new one, so where's the harm exactly?

I just wouldn't want to deal with a piss jug. It smells and what if I have too much pee? That's what a window is for.

Not saying it doesn't come with a set of problems, but when your priority is getting up once instead of two or three times, it's a stop gap solution.
