I used the T slur for one.

I mean now you could say I have the privilege to use that word and some trans people do use that word the same way black people use the N slur and gay people use the F slur but I feel uncomfortable using it personally, at the time I was in denial of being trans and I still thought it was ok to use that slur.

I also accepted transphobic talking points as fact, that trans people are making rash decisions, that they're only changing their bodies to conform to gender roles, that they will regret the changes, that they could never be truly happy because they can't change their biological sex, I said all of that sh*t to convince myself I wasn't trans and that by thinking so much about living as a girl I was indulging in a silly fantasy, once the dysphoria became overwelming and completely took over my life I had to face the truth or kill myself.

Feeling a little better today. Dizziness is somewhat gone but still have a bad cough. Stomach is a little meh. Definitely better than yesterday. Covid sucks y'all.

Thanks. I've only eaten like 2 meals the past few days because my sense of taste is mostly gone atm so I cant even taste it and I have no appetite. Energy is starting to come back but haven't moved from my recliner much.

To Queen Boo and Synthgirl: congratulations both on your - um, is it called transition? Whatever the procedure is, or the process, well done. And also hugely brave of you to come out here - though I guess we shouldn't even be using that phrase as it suggests that being trans, or gay, or whatever is something that should be hidden away. Blah blah I'm rambling but you get the gist of it. Well done to you both and I'm sure you both are/will be much more happy now that you can be who you want to be, and not who your parents/friends/society/god want you to be.

I am overjoyed that this forum has been an accepting and positive place for trans people. The internet can certainly be a cruel place to us, especially in these days of such large amounts of hateful rhetoric from politicians, Twitter, etc, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you, and all the other lovely people on MB, for your kindness, it really means a lot.
