I too suspect that nothing really belongs to us. If something can be taken away, and everything can be taken away, then how can it be truly ours. It can't. Not to me anyway.

Does that mean I can have your drugs?

Mr. Charlie 11-18-2015 01:03 PM

If you can take them off me, sure.

Frownland 11-18-2015 01:06 PM

So if something can be taken away you don't own it? I'm not sure if I follow. If someone could have ****ed me at any time in my life, was I ever a virgin?

Mr. Charlie 11-18-2015 01:12 PM

You've lost me. What does virginity have to do with ownership?

Frownland 11-18-2015 01:15 PM

It was an analogy.

Mr Charlie: I mean, your logic was a bit silly as well. Just because something doesn't last forever doesn't mean that it's illegitimate.

I'd be as easy as taking candy from a dead baby.

Yeah, I get that, but I'm not making the connection. Can't tell if it's me being slow (which is often the case) or merely a poor analogy.

You can lose something or have it taken from you, but that doesn't invalidate the time where you did have it. If someone doesn't own something simply because it can be taken away, then virginity does not exist because that can also be taken away. It might be a poor analogy, but it's a poor concept to begin with.
