My 84 year old dad as of yesterday.
![]() Backstory: He's slowly developed bad dementia over the last decade and then about a year ago had to undergo surgery. During recovery he suffered a minor stroke. He's had a LONG and hard recovery since then. He was fed through a tube for about 9 months because of his health. And then he started to get physically better - the dementia is permanent though. Until recently he just kept getting better and better. My sister back east sent me this picture from Christmas day of him and my step-mom enjoying lunch together. ![]() And then 3 nights ago at 3:00AM he had a spell where he thought he'd left a stove on. He got out of bed and fell, fracturing just about everything on his left side. He'll be bed ridden for the next 2 months while he heals - which will only exasperate his dementia. Sorry to be a drag, but the recent God thread made me do it. Is this how God intended end of life to be?
