I mean arguing that you want equal rights for everyone is essentially agreeing with elph so I guess I'm on everyone's side.

No, he's arguing privileged people don't have a right to seek equality in areas where there isn't.. At least that's how i took it. Trying to make it sound bad if you say youre pro white or hetero rights.

He's interpreting the trend of the majority's demands for rights being demands for oppression as the rule.

What you both seem to be saying is that being a compartmentalized advocate does less for equality than being for equal rights for everyone.

not even a men's rights issue as female circumcision is even worse

compare this to for example women's suffrage which is where using "X group rights" would be applicable

Bad example tbh. I think that both should be addressed but I avoid lumping them together because one is so much more awful than the other that they lose their equivalency.

No, exactly the opposite - I think the world as a whole needs to be better, and I believe that it can be. People who believe that men are underpriviledged as a general rule are usually trying to defocus efforts on people who actually are disadvantaged. There's a hierarchy of priviledge, and it shouldn't but does exist and it causes problems that range from finding a job to not being harrassed by police or just people in general.

None of that really has anything to do with Africa, though I believe that Africa is mistreated by the rest of the world, and our corporations contribute to suffering simply by not sharing their advantages with them (or us, lulz) and actually have historically stolen a lot from them.

In a nutshell, you could say I believe that debts will always pile up, and there's a time when they got to be paid. Men are owed less of that debt, and the debt they are owed isn't because they're men.

I read recently that 18% of American companies have a CCC- credit score. It's not only individuals (regardless of being male/female) it just the way the world is, from the top down, countries, companies, people. You should really watch "The Way We Live Now" TV mini-series based on the novel by Anthony Trollope it explains everything.
