Some random guy who sold it to the current owners. He hasn't been an active member as long as I've been here and I'm pretty sure he was long gone by then as well.

It all started when Larry Musicbanter came up with a great idea.

Do the current owners even give a **** about this site? Like, on RYM you know who Sharifi is. On Newgrounds you see Tom Fulp being very active. On Facepunch forums you know Garry Newman. Something Awful clearly has Lowtax. But on Musicbanter? eeeeeh?? 0.o.

No. The current owners are some advertising company or something. They're not members at all and probably forget we exist most days of the year.

Exactomundo.

Frownland could easily buy the site with the 7 bucks he's gotten from you buying his and Mondo's album.

I can't comment on this, because my job is basically exactly this.

Brace thyself o inquisitive pup, for the story of Music Banter is a dark and bloody tale, one of mystery and intrigue, of spectacle and wonder, and, yes, of a love once pure that grew out of the chaos like a defiant rose, only to give sprout to the thorns of betrayal that would mar it for evermore...

The guy who founded the site was a guy called Rockefella Skank in 2003. He sold it to GregB who was one of the moderators after less than a year. He went on to run the place for another 3 or 4 years.

GregB sold the site to the current owners sometime in 2007, I remember seeing the sale on some site where you can buy & sell websites. If I remember correctly it was sold for around the region of $6000 which GregB used to fund a trip to Hawaii.
